A touch of Provence in the middle of Finland
My favorite street artist Banksy had an exhibition in Mänttä, so we just had to go see it. While driving there, we noticed a sign advertising a French village store , right here in Finland, so naturally we had to give it a go on our way back. --< --< Maailman kuuluisimmalla katutaiteilijalla, Banksyllä, oli näyttely Mäntässä, ja sitä varten oli varattu liput yli kuukausi ennakkoon. Ajomatkan varrella huomasimme kyltit ranskalaiseen kyläkauppaan , joten pitihän siihen käydä tutustumassa kotimatkalla. --< --< The French village store is situated in an idyllic turn-of-the century building in Vääksy old town. When you step in, it's like stepping 100 years back in time with its wooden floorboards and rustic shelves brimming with goods. The shop hosts dozens of small chambers in three floors, offering its visitors anything from dried lavender to Marseille soap, from home decor to French clothing. There's also a café.
